How do I help my common law spouse apply for Open Work Permit?

Some help please!
I am currently accepted to do a 2 year masters in Toronto and would like to bring my common law spouse along. I heard open work permit could be applied for my spouse but I am not sure about the procedures on how to do so. Can someone shed some light on this?

HI,
first you have to apply for seprate TRV along/after with your study permit. for your spouse and then you have to apply for opean work permit at case processing center vergville,Alberta.

To clarify on that, I should be applying for my own study permit while my spouse applies for a TRV and when we land in Canada I should apply the open work permit for my spouse?

After approval of your study permit and TRV,he/she can apply for opean work permit from inside/outside canada.
