Hi Everyone,

So I did my Oath yesterday and opted for the e-certificate and emailed the signed Oath Affirmation form right after the ceremony was completed. Now when I am trying to get the invite code to login to the portal it is giving me this error "Sorry, we couldn’t create an invitation code for you. Invitation code not created: There was a technical issue "

I know some of you were getting this problem - can you please confirm me what was the resolution to this? Please advise as I have urgent travel plans.

Thank you
Were you able to download it ?

I’m getting desperate over here, i had my oath on August 10th and sent my signed oath right after ceremony, now yesterday makes business day 5 and still nothing! I already created an account on portal and everything but it just keeps on saying not available, 2-5 business days

Call IRCC and check if they have received your signed oath form. Additionally you can attach the same on the webform too.

The portal still seems to be down. Says cannot issue the invite code. Any workaround?

I called twice and they know nothing at the call center, they cant see the office’s inbox to know if they have it, she just kept on saying to send again and to send webform which i did on Friday and still nothing

Quick update and possible workaround. So the portal did not issue an invite for gmail email address which was being used for all my Citizenship application.
I randomly tried getting the code with an alternate email and it worked. Upon logging into the portal I was able to download the certificate.

Shouldn't the email address the same as the one submitted with the Citizenship Application? My oath is next week and I also have a gmail address and haven't got the invitation code as of today.

So I was in a rush to register for the portal and hence I created an account with another Id.
I received an email from IRCC the next day with an invite code.
So if you’re not in a hurry I suggest waiting for the Ircc to send you the email with an invite code.

to download the certificate you need UcI, application number and name DOB.

My oath is coming up can I request for ecerficate as well or it depends when you filed the application. My understanding is it is not but wanted to confirm?

also, where you should opt for ecertificate as I will be traveling soon and would like to have it done as soon as possible after my oath.

I got my ecertificate next day of the oath, around 4pm. Timeline below. Cheers all

Hi, did you get your certificate? When did you get it?

My wife had her ceremony on Thursday last week. It has been 5 days since.
Still unable to download e-certificate. Any advise? Should we wait longer?

You can send resend the oath form from another e-mail id. That seems to be working these days.
