How can I convince a visa officer I will leave Canada after my two year job offers and visa have expired?

I have no assests in my country. Im from mexico and most of my family and friends are from the US. My US girfriend and I plan to get merried after I get back from canada but is this enough to convince a VO that I will leave. Most of my ties are to the US and not to my home conuntry.

Any help would be great. Thanks

You should have a stable job and income in your home country and you should have decent experience on your profile. Show evidence of that via bank statements (showing a decent living regularly being transferred to your account), pay slips, past experience letters etc.

It is also considered good home ties that you are currently working and will easily be able to find work back in your home country.

My general experience is that "ties to home country" is a pretty much generic thing. They do not have a problem if some stays legally and permanently in Canada by applying for permanent residence. The problem is that if you failed obtaining that permanent residence status, will you go on living illegally or not?

For some one who can make a decent living back home as demonstrated by his / her resume, past experience and job profile / credentials, it makes a pretty good case that he would come back. On the other hand if he is some one out of job, or some odd social situation, he might as well be happy earning and living illegally as long as possible.

Thanks for your reply. Very good answer :)
I do have a stable job and Im still employed. My boss told me my job will be here when I get back.
I got my visa yesterday and Im very happy. My boss will make flight reservations tomorrow yeah.
I will take my resume in hopes that is good enough along with some of my friends contact info to prove friends. I will take a bank statement (even though the bal is zero atm) I do have steady (bi-weekly) stream of income along with my job pay stubs.
As per your question I do plan to return to my home country because I want to merry my girlfriend in the US. Unless I love it so much in Canada I might seek residency the legal and correct way. I like doing everything legit :)

Again thanx a lot for your reply

Glad to hear it was helpful and things turned out positive for you.

The things required to convince visa officer were BEFORE you get visa i.e. would help in the application procedure. I didn't quite get why you would need resume and other things while travelling. Though contact info and other stuff helps at the port of entry when the immigration officer actually issues you work permit.

But your bank statements at this point are irrelevant, since you have received visa already.

I really like this point you have made- if one has been in employment for a long time, without any breaks, it shows that the person can find work easily.
