Hi all,

I'm reapplying my Mom's visitor visa application. Her application was rejected based on the grounds that she did not show ties with her home country. Even though she's currently visiting my brother in Boston on visitors visa. It's a given that she will have to go back to her home country. We have more proofs like property documents and her flight tickets all the way back to her hometown etc. Also, my father is not traveling with her so she has to go back. I'll be representing her. I was wondering how do I merge those documents and additional proofs.

Cover letter with proper explanation - Under client information?.

Property deed details, translation of property document in English as it is in our native language. - Under Financial support documents?. That file is getting bulkier because it already has her bank statements, FD deposit slips and (do i have to include our bank statement as well (canadians, my husbands pay stub etc) Does my brother have to include his bank statements because she's staying with him now?.

is it advisable to get a refundable travel insurance for those tentative travel dates?.

Indians - Are you all adding Ration cards and Aadhaar card proofs as well?.

Tentative Flight ticket details - Under travel itinerary.

Am I allowed to add any of these under supplemental documents section?. We have painstackingly collected all these documents. I don't want it go unnoticed because I made the mistake of not filing in an suitable order. I know they recieve thousands of application each day and are probably frustrated to go through each and every one of them...

Of course other IMMs, Authorization, Schedule 1, passport pages, etc.

Also, I could not help but notice that the March refusals are in total upswing.

I am sharing my mom's timeline here

Applied on March 21st,

Updated on March 22nd

Closely followed until April 2nd evening no change it didn't even say it was under process or review until this point.

Got a refusal letter on April 3rd at 9.01AM Ottawa time.

Good luck to all!.

Hi,

First, chances of refusal are higher when someone applies in a country where s/he has only visitor status.

I'm reapplying my Mom's visitor visa application. Her application was rejected based on the grounds that she did not show ties with her home country. Even though she's currently visiting my brother in Boston on visitors visa. It's a given that she will have to go back to her home country.
Sure, she will go back at some point in time. However, that won't convince a visa officer.

You mom must prove that she has short-term plans to visit Canada (a well-defined itinerary) + definite plans to return to India from the US (confirmed plane tickets).

I was wondering how do I merge those documents and additional proofs.
Google for a suitable merge software. There are quite a few available online.

Property deed details, translation of property document in English as it is in our native language. - Under Financial support documents?.
No. Someone won't sell his/her property to pay for a visit. Property documents cannot be uploaded to 'Financial support'.

Like I had advised earlier, as your dad is the co-owner of these properties, your mom does not have a compelling reason to return to India for property reasons.

All documents must be translated into English by a certified translator.

You can include these property documents nonetheless in the 'Letter of Explanation'/Optional section. In fact, you can upload any/all documents which you cannot upload in any other section in this section as a combined PDF file.

Your mom cannot access her Indian bank accounts nor the FDs as funds for her visit (both US and Canada).

These points were answered in your post on the 'Temporary visitors from the US' section of the forum. Here:

is it advisable to get a refundable travel insurance for those tentative travel dates?.
Yes, it is always advisable to have travel medical insurance when someone travels anywhere abroad.

Indians - Are you all adding Ration cards and Aadhaar card proofs as well?.
Do ration cards even exist? They belonged to another millennium.

A passport is the only identity document that matters for visas issued by another country
