The online calculator automatically handles it. It will calculate the correct days.

I went back and looked at it and yes the residence calculator automatically calculates the correct days. CIC could really improve their instructions on this and it could lead to some big mistakes.......

Well, don't deduct a day from the trip and then enter those days in CIC's online residence calculator, otherwise you will be reporting one extra day for each trip you took.

so to summarize, you should put the exact dates of your flight and let the calculator count the days for you , right ?
