How do I bring infant to canada

Dear advisors

I Have general query that I am Canadian valid PR holder (Australian citizen) and living with family in Australia (all Canadian valid PR holders)
We have been blessed with new born baby last year in Australia who is now around 11 months old.
We are now planning to move to migrate to canada next month, so my entire family is having Canadian valid PR cards except my new born who is Australian Passport holder and was not there during our PR application

So my question is to know the process to take new born infant along with us to canada.

Can we take infant on ETA being Australian passport holder and get added to our family once reached in canada
OR
Get added prior to departure through Australian Canadian consulate

You advice will be highly appreciated

If you are traveling to Canada next month, then the baby can come to Canada by his Australian passport without apply ETA.

Thanks for quick reply, so you think it will be ok to add baby while on shore. So officers at Australian Airport or canada airport won't raise any questions right and hope ends up smooth. By the way When will ETA requirements kicks in our case for Australian citizens

So ETA not mandatory until end Sept 2016 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp . So baby is 11 months old and for whatever reason you have not started the PR process already ?

PRs must be physically residing in Canada in order to sponsor their children for PR. So they can't start the sponsorship process while living in Australia, they must return to Canada first and live here during the processing.

so your child was born when you already got your PR? did you notify IRCC (immigration canada) during pregnancy? and that you'd like to add that child to application as well? or you waited until your child was born
