My husband and I have recently submitted application for spousal sponsorship and have decided that once we recieve good news, we would like to travel around europe for a week before moving back to Canada to celebrate...how is everyone else celebrating???

My wife, daughter and I celebrated with a nice dinner at our favorite peruvian restaurant here in Toronto... But we only celebrated the day I landed once we left the office with the COPR on hand. That's when it finally sank we had won the war.
We then went to Peru itself for the first time ever last year, but that was no PR celebration at all. More like a vacation trip.
Best of luck!

Sounds like great plans! We would love to go to Disneyland before moving to Toronto cause California is not too far from here and we're thinking of driving there. We have 3 kids and they would really enjoy that...us too!

We want to go to Europe!

I don't know what were going to do, but a shot or two is defiantly needed after this is all done!

We're considering a visit to his hometown(Nashville) and then going to a hockey game haha

I will probably take him out for dinner at my favorite restaurent. I can't wait for that to happen

I would like and probabely my husbund too, I would like to have a party (I bet it will be orginized by my mother in law, she said that once, only she needs me there, and I am glad becouse I don't know if I would manage doing it, I know nothing about customs there :)) where all our friends from Quebec will come and my husbund's family...and why not having a second wedding where my husbund's best friend would marring us... :P :P...(me and my husbund we don't practice any religion then I don't think it's appropriate to have a real priest since we don't practice any kind of religion)

We coud have two great motivs of celbration in the same day why not... :) ;).

Do that gives you some ideas... ;D.

We're probably going to have a nice meal with my side of the family. For me, I'm ordering the biggest steak they have and a cold beer (or 20!). This will be our son's first experience in Canada (and my wife's), so we'll take them on a tour of my hometown...it will be great...and I'm sure I'll have a good shiver of relief! Can't wait!

Aww, sounds like everyone has some nice plans to celebrate their homecoming! I wish everyone a speedy application process so you can be reunited with family and loved ones :) First thing my husband and I are gonna do when we arrive in Vancouver is eat SUSHI!!!

I will be throwing my husband a welcome to Canada, immigration party... It'll be very canadian themed but all the guests will be encouraged to come dressed up in their own culture clothing or one that they would like to portray for the night!

"Immigration" party!

The day cannot come fast enough!

;D ;D ;D ;D

Oou-immigration party sounds like fun! may have to borrow your idea as well, with LOTS of tequila to celebrate ;D
