A standard CEC candidate, PGWP holder, with over one year working experience, NOC 2134, still working btw, couldn't get 600 points for arranged employment?!
This doesn't make sense! at all!
I waited for this express entry, and now I couldn't even get invitation.
Come on CIC, you can do better!

600 additional points are for LMIA based job offer only, pgwp holders cannot get 600 points. If you wanna have 600 points, try to negotiate with your employer.

Hi,

yes, you are right. everyone first approach their employer and ask them to file for LMIA first then eligible for 600 points.

Can we apply old PNP system still ?

If your have a PNP Letter, you can still apply directly under old system, however, if you want to apply under express entry, you have to have a express entry specific PNP nomination letter to claim 600 points

Yes but there big companies who are just not willing to go that route....I havent seen many willing to go for an LMIA

If you have more than 400 points, I would say go have a try in EE. If you scored less than 380 points, a LMIA should be a great helper

I have 474 but i am worried they might only select people with those 600 points coming from LMIA or PNP

You will definitely be selected in the first couple of months. CIC needs to bring 60k Fsw applicants and 20k Cec applicants, only few of them would have 600 additional points, 474 is extremely high among people that don't have 600 points.

I have just called CIC and they confirmed if you have a PGWP and a job offer then you will qualify for the 600 points and you do not need LMIA. This is directly from CIC.

Dont think so, i also asked them but the agent said i will need LMIA... do not trust them completely...

So how do we know which information is correct. I called again and the call agent asked me to send a Case Specific Enquiry which could take 30 business days for a response :(
