Hi... I was hoping for a little guidance. My application status reads that they received my application February 10, and a decision was made on March 27. I haven't heard anything since. I also sent in my husbands FBI clearance and that wasn't updated in the system. Is it just me being impatient or is this going incredibly slow? I was hoping to talk to someone... I've sent an email and got the automated response back but no reply to my questions. The last thing I want is having them tell me that something isn't right Nd it will be months from now. Np lease let me know what I guys think of our application(Outland) and how to contact someone. Thx

By decision made, do you mean decision made on Sponsorship (Part 1) or PR (part 2)? Generally, for Part 1, you should be receiving an email saying you have met the requirements of sponsorship and therefore the application has been forwarded to the appropriate Visa office for Part 2 processing. This step is called Sponsorship Approval. Did you get this email? Recheck your application that you submitted to see if you wrote the right email address.

After this step, you generally won't hear anything for a long time as you are in queue for further processing.

If you think there is a problem with the application, you can try contacting CIC call center and jump through the automated hoops till you reach a human and put in a case enquiry (only once in 90 days I think). If this is somehow not possible, you can apply for GCMS notes which will tell you the current status. Last resort is going to your local MP and discussing the case with them.

In general however, the process is relatively slow depending on visa office and your specific case. Have patience and faith, and things will work out. But, do enquire about the decision made if you have not received the sponsorship email.

Given your posts I am presuming you are being processed in Ottawa. Sounds like you have received SA and it has been sent to Ottawa for processing of the applicants stage. Processing times are currently 8-10 months (including SA) for Ottawa so you're only just over 3 months into the process. You got a while to go yet so take some deep breaths and take it easy! My medical wasn't updated as received on ECAS until about 7 months into the process.

Wow I are right... It's in Ottawa. I thought for some reason it would be much faster. I'm hoping things will speed up here. I'm getting a little impatient as we just had a baby and my hubby wants to come and work! Haha

Since you application was transferred to Ottawa only 2 months ago, it is very likely that it is just sitting is the queue and hadn't even been looked at by a case officer in CPC-O. That would explain why your e-mail to Ottawa was no replied to. The vast majority of the "processing" time is just sitting in the queue. Once an officer actually gets to it, it usually moves along pretty quickly if the application is solid.
