i really need a help!

There is not a lot of information you gave us.. Are you Canadian or not? Student? Work visa? PR? In or outside Canada? Common law relationship or not..

But even more important is what Steaky said, get a lawyer..

I *think* the OP is In Canada on a TWP.

June1990, if you can't afford a lawyer, there are free/low cost service for help/legal advice in your circumstances, but I'd need to where you are to send you some links.

June1990, what province are you living in?

As a general rule, in Canada both parents whether married or unmarried, together or separated, have rights AND responsibilities towards a child.

If you & the baby's father can not come to a mutual agreement, you will have to go to Family court in the relevant province. In fact, even if you can agree, I highly recommend getting your agreement ratified in court. How to proceed, & links to advice, will depend on province...

i was under tfw permit when i gave birth, it has been expired a couple of months though.and im single and not in common law with the father of my child. we live in alberta.

Here is the information for Alberta, there are links to various sources of help:

Also, don't forget that your child is entitled to support from her father (links in the same document)
