You need to start by applying for jobs in Canada through job sites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, etc.

Once you find an employer who is willing to offer you a job and also go through the LMIA process, that employer is the one who obtains an approved LMIA. This is not something you can do yourself. Once the employer obtains the approved LMIA, you can then apply for a work permit.

So the first step is to secure a job offer with an employer in Canada. Be careful of job scams. There are no jobs or employers on this forum.

It's not mandatory but IRCC will sometimes ask for it if they want to confirm that you have strong enough language abilities to do the job.

I'm not an expert....... but from what I know, a LMIA can only be given if the employer can prove that the applicant they are looking for is not easily available in their local market and that's why you're a good fit. Basically you have to be unique and stand out in some way. They have to have a solid reason as to why they are choosing to hire you over a local worker. Eg: If it's a movie company that is creating a movie that is heavily influenced by some culture, they can cite the reason that they need someone from that culture to star in the movie.
