I completely agree with CharlieD10.
It all depends on quality. A simple rule was followed. What ever was fill in the forms, attempts were made to prove it with supporting documents. The operations guide and the guidelines were read from cover to cover. The documents were arranged in a specific manner and a letter was written explaining everything.

Mine is a couple inches thick, a little over 2lbs. Over half the stack in our proof. 30 pictures, printed 2 to a page with description/date next to each.

A visa officer complained to me that some applications were inches thick. To him it was a negative, as if really-thick applications were overkill. He did not say that visa officers favoured the thinner applications, or gave them more visas, but it is fair to say that human nature does prefer an easier route. So ... keep the applications short and cogent.

my consultant only had me put marriage certificate, medical/police reports, and copies of my husbands id, passport....as for proof of relationshio he only asked for 25 pics. i had to litterly force him to add my phone bills and text message and msn logs. he basically said that it depends on the IO. sometimes u have a million things and they'll still request more...also he said since me and my husband arn't living in the same country rite now its better to keep stuff (like entrance/exit visas) for if they do ask for more evidence. he even summerized our 5yr relationship in the couple lines they provided for us. we've been inprocess since june 2nd and they still haven't requested anything so he might just be rite.

We didnt put much in the space provided to summerize our relationship either, wasnt sure how to condense 13 years into a small box, and wasnt going to go into great detail as we felt we had sent in enough evidence anyway, so we will see what hapeens.

God, I cant even remember how heavy mine was. I think it was between 3 to 4 pounds. The inland basic papers, 60-80 photos, tons and tons of reciepts, letters from friends and family, 10-15 greeting cards, bank statments, movie tickets and quite a few other things. Gosh, I cant remember. >.<

lol....let me tell u this, IF i was filling out those forms i would've probably ended up with 5 pages too, but he basically just wrote the date we met, the 2 times i visited and how we met.

i kept arguing but he kept telling me, dont worry about it. i decided to trust him, because he filled the applications for a couple people i know and most landed within the first 6 months. i hope i get that lucky!

I believe it does matter , why because if you have more it would help , when I send mine was two big folder , and when they asked for more documents I send once bigger , i print every things.

same with us when they say history we actually think of writing history and describe the situation....for someone not great with writing formal English it's hard to keep it condensed

overall no matter how big or small is LOL, the important is to be well organized....if u put clear sections for everything, they could easily jump a whole section and look at the sections they want...but if they would like to look for more and it's not there, then everything could be delayed...it also depends on each VO....if u know how ur embassy works and for other applicants was enough just a few things, then it's ok....but if in general they like to see more proofs then u could update them with extra information...

there's no need to worry and don't compare urself with others; it's also important how confident U feel abt everything - ur proofs, ur situation; if u feel u made ur point with a few pages then why u think about it...each relationship is unique...just wait and see

I my opinion when it comes to "history" of a relationship it boils to "brevity is the essence". We went through many drafts and then finally wrote everything in a about two pages. But, that was not all, had provided other supporting one page letters to a max of two pages from immediate family members as a proof of marriage and relationship.

If you read the Operation Manual it clearly states what an IO should be looking for. Providing to much will or too little may affect the case/processing time. The docs should be "just enough". But this definition is very vague--I agree.

I really like the way CIC works (few restrictions apply ). They have made OPs and other documents accessible to public. Read it, understand it and then make your judgement in sending docs.
