How become owner of an existing Canadian company?

We are in Express Entry with CRS 428.
Not enough for an ITA.
We might want to take over an existing Canadian company in Alberta, but can only find information about starting up a new business in Canada.
Anyone has tips on how to realise it?
Is there an easier way than applying for LMIA and start as an employee?

Assume you mean the OP should find an employer willing to pay the LMIA fee and follow the process with a job offer and not as implied OP should themselves ‘buy’ anything.
