Hi Friends,

Can any one please let me know, how and from where to get the English translation of documents e.g for Birth Certificate or for Marriage Certificate ?

Is there any recommended service of CIC from where we should get the translation ?

Thanks...

DelPiero07 Thanks.

I checked this website for Ontario. There does not looks like any procedure defined for the translation.

Do you have any idea, how long it takes and what is the procedure, please let us know...
thanks...

Search for a translator -> Contact him/her directly -> Ask all your questions to him/her.

Try contacting different translators to get quotes from them.

I checked online for translator. But it says that for my source language "Urdu" , there is no translator available (Ontario website).

any suggestion please?

secondly, the Birth Certificate of daughter that I have from my country is in both languages Urdu and English. I mean the same Birth Certificate has two portions printed on single page. One portion is in Urdu and the other is in English.
However, a few words or sentences in the header of the document does not have English equivalent translation.
I can say, 95% of the document has English translation in the English portion.

Do I still must need to get this document translated from a certified translator ?

Please let me know

You went to the ATIO website? I did a quick search and found 3 certified translators.

I checked again the ATIO website.

at ATIO website, at the top left most menu, there is an optin "Directory"

clicking "Directory" bring a form where I entered Frist name, Last name, area of expertise, city=toronto, source language, target language etc etc

When I search , the result is as below:

"In the event our directory does not contain a professional in your desired language combination, we suggest that you continue your search by browsing the directory of the other provincial associations. ....."

What do you mean you entered First name/Last name? How do you even know their names?

Enter city, source language and target language, that's it.

I thought it should be my name...

sorry abt that..
I just read the instructions and tried again... I got 3 translator

Thanks and sorry for annoying ...
