How an IEN nurse can migrate to Canada quickly with PNP?

I am very confused about the complete process of Canada immigration visa for “Federal Skilled Worker - Arranged Employment”. How a nurse can migrate & reach Canada in 8 to 9 months with the benefit of “Arranged Employment” or “Provincial Nomination Program”. Because according to this rules a IEN candidate is not eligible without CRNE exam, so how he/she can apply for the nurse job (indirectly employee cannot recruit such a candidate).

After some search what I learned is; If a nurse wants to apply under “Provincial Nomination Program” (PNP) category then for most of the province requirement for PNP is candidate should have passed CRNE exam. CRNE exam is only available in CANADA three times a year. So does it means candidate should complete following steps?

1. Prepare for the CRNE exam in candidate's own country;
2. Apply to the nursing regulatory body in that province or territory for a permit to practice nursing in the province.
3. Apply for visa to work temporarily to meet province
4. If province gives permission to write the exam, after which candidate can apply for full licensure in that province.
5. Appear and pass the CRNE Exam.

I think all this process will need at least 1 year.

Then

6. Apply for Canada immigration visa for “Federal Skilled Worker - Arranged Employment” which require almost 6 month.

I will be very thankful if you can guide me for this issue.

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
That certainly seems like a good way to do it. You might also be able to get some kind of temporary license to work as a practical nurse and get in that way. I hope BCguy is around, he knows all about this. Then you can move to the best place on earth, snowy mountains, sunny beaches, magical forests, all there for you to enjoy :)

Hi BCGuy/Leon

Thanks for your reply. I am very much interested in British Columbia or Alberta. But I am not sure for the right process. Can you please tell me the steps which I have written above is correct. If you think anything wrong what I have wrote; can you please correct me what I have understood & direct me to the correct path. Main thing I want to know is now I am not registered in any province then also can I apply for job in Canada for LPN. Any Canadian employers can offer me a job and that offer can I use for my Federal Skilled Worker - Arrange Employment.

I feel it is an excellent opportunity for nurses to migrate to Canada and I don’t want to miss it. Actually I am worried about the total points for immigration; my total points come to 63 to 64. So I want to secure the application. I think if I will spend time for completing all the above procedure and if meanwhile Canadian Immigration Rules change or Nursing Occupation get removed from the NOC list then it would be a big mistake. And I don’t want to take chance. Please guide me.

hi BC guy,

RN from other country can get temporary license here in BC as RN as well. the only problem is finding an employer. if you are not from countries like england, australia, new zealand or states then they won't hire you or give you chance. i've been looking for employer for my sister. i called the interior the northern and even the island. My sister is not here in BC but she already has her temporary license from CRNBC. employer is the problem. if you can help me with employer then that would be very much appreciated.

Hey BC GUY,
I'm a little bit confused on how easy it is to secure a temporary employment as a registered nurse in BC, after getting a temporary license from CRNBC. Please can you shed some light on this? I'm a registered nurse in Nigeria without a university degree but a 3 year diploma in nursing.
Looking forward to your suggestions and advice please.
Thank you.
