Looks good. Nice work.

Envelope 1: You only need to provide either your passport or birth certificate, not both. It's up to you if you want to include both, but for me, I'd just include one.

I organized my application similar to the way you've done yours...so you should be golden 8)

Do you have a detailed plan for your proof of intention to return to Canada included in the first envelope? How about additional sheets with more detailed answers, especially for the questionnaires (both sponsor and applicant)?

Good luck!

don't worry u r not the only one it took long....everything looks good :D if u can put lables with the TOC u did here on each envelope or somewhere just for them to know what is where, than it's even better i think
my detailed plan of return was not a separate letter, was detailed answer to some question in the form and it was attached at the end of that form....same for the relationship essay at the sponsor side for example; the proofs of return (ties with Canada) were put separate (following the checklist order) and in that plan of return essay i reffered to those proofs (like see 8.1-8.8 from envelope/package no X)
as for ur question: if the letters r to support ur return to Canada than yes definately include them where u said - proof intent of return....if the letters r as proof of ur relationship than they would go in envelope 5...same for ur bank accounts: if ur purpose is to prove income, that u have sufficient income for ur return then it goes in envelope 1....if the purpose if to prove something joint than it's more relationship proof => envelope 5....don't worry, they will check everything, they will open all just to make sure nothing imp is missing....so no matter where u put it the imp is to b there :) good luck!!

A few quick thoughts:

- You don't seem to have either checklist listed (sponsor or visa office specific checklist for principal applicant). Not only are they required, but they are the only way to ensure that you are sending all the forms, etc required by your visa office
- consider adding a table of contents so they know where to find what (similar to this list)
- you only listed translated marriage act. Remember to include certified copy of original too and statement from translator certifying translaton
- you need to submit original police certificates along with translated copies

Re intent to return supporting docs, it doesn't matter where you out them as long as you reference clearly where they are. If you only use them for intent to move purposes, it's probably easiest to have them adjacent to your note.

Another thing I thought of was on IMM5490 where it asks to include photos or other evidence for a couple of the questions. I included the photos at the end of the last page of that form (properly labelled as per the instructions). All additional sheets with detailed answers were included at the end of the questionnaires. I included translations of our mailing and residential addresses for various forms to ensure they are clear on our addresses.

The document checklist, as mentioned, is required. For that, I included all the other stuff like birth certs, marriage license, etc...properly labelled. I also made an appendix outlining the forms I did not include because they were not applicable. We were unable to obtain an original police cert (notarized copy), so I included a one-page explanation along with the notarized copy (but this is acceptable, especially for applicants from mainland China, as the government will not release the orignal).

What I would do is make a few revisions, then post again like you did in your original post...keep fine tuning it until everything has been covered...then check, check, and check again...I checked our forms and everything else at least 100 times...no kidding...especially signatures and dates...etc...
