Guelph is a lovely city, not too far at all from the GTA, easy access to the 401 (main highway), close to Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge and certainly not the prices of the GTA. Its a really nice place
Hi there, I worked at the University of Guelph from September 2009 to September 2011 (currently applying for PR under the CEC programme). Guelph is a great place to stay. It is one of the largest growing cities in Canada. While I was there I did not feel the need to buy a car as it has a great public transport system (well compared to what I am used to in the UK).
If you have any more questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer.
If possible, I would like to discuss some of things involved in moving to Canada. I have started little late and have to move next month. Thanks in advance.
Guelph is a nice place but it depends where your job's going to be. Communiting to Toronto isn't an option (depending where in Toronto) as 401/403 are very crowded during rush hours...
