According to health service ontario, person can be outside of the country for not more then 212 days of 12 months. My concern is, how 12 month time is calculated? Is that the time person started living in canada or the time person gets the health card of ontario or
12 month time is calculated based on when person left the country. For example. I started living in ontarion from july 2014 then i left country for some serious illness treatment from March 2015 - Nov 2015. Now my question is when my 12 month time is calculated ...is it from July 2014 - June 2015 (when i started living in Ontario) OR Oct 2014 - Sep 2015(when i got my ohip) OR Mar 2015 - Feb 2016 (when i left country).

Am I still covered by OHIP.

Please advise.
