What if I purphase a flat for investment and declare as non resident, is that still necessary to file tax earned outside Canada?

Even if I dont have spouse or child living there, non receiving any benefit from Government.

I assume your question is " is that still necessary to file income earned outside Canada?" I assume your investment property is outside Canada as well...

If you are a non-resident, you need to report only the income that you earned from Canadian sources.

I am talking about the property investment in Canada.

If you are non resident and you have a property in Canada that yields income, you should report only that income to CRA.
For example:
  • Your income from Canadian property is 10K
  • Your income from non Canadian source is 100K
  • You report 10K to CRA
