I am working for a painting company who paints the house and commercial unit. I have one year of experience with them. I want to know that can I apply under Canadian experience class.

Did you go to a Canadian college (at least 2 year program certified) or university to obtain secondary education, to paint the houes and buildings? Can you or any 3rd party say your work experience as building painter was or could be described as a professional or skilled work? If not you are not eligible.. Your 1 year work experience in Canadian society must be based on your education in Canadian secondary schools, which offer a diploma or degree. ie. CEC = education + work experience category.

Hi,
I understand your point, but he becomes eligible if he was working in Canada at least 1 year (full time 1560 hours) in NOC category O, A, or B. Also his job doesn't need to be in his field of study under CEC.
