Hotel in Vancouver airport

Hi All,

We will land Ottawa in the beginning of May but transit at Vancouver airport. We will pass the night at Vancouver for the domestic flight at noon of the next day.

Any suggestion for reasonable sleeping place at Vancouver airport for the family of 4.

Besides, can we process with check-in for the domestic flight from Vancouver to Ottawa half-day ahead the departure time as we don't expect to sleep with all luggages over night?

1. There is the Fairmont Hotel at the airport but it is expensive. $254 per night plus taxes.
2. There is the Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel 1041 Southwest Marine Drive, Vancouver, BC V6P 6L6 about 5 minutes from the airport, free shuttle, about $95.00 plus taxes per night. Stay away from the Super 8 on Marine Dr.
3. Baggage can only be checked in 4 hours prior to the flight.
4. CDS has baggage storage at level 2 of the International terminal, and level 1 at Domestic, about $5.00 per day per piece.

I'm not sure to understand you well. As we don't expect to go outside the airport, you mean there is service of rooms for rent inside the airport or it's just public chairs for passengers waiting next flight.

Public chairs (in food court and other areas in the airport) and sleeping areas inside airline/pay lounges.
