Horribly Confused - AIP and Decision Made

Last July we were notified that we were AIP. We received both letters. On ECAS they had recorded the date they received my American Husband's PR App, the date they started processing his App, and the blurb "We have sent a letter notifying you that you have been approved in Principle etc etc). 4 weeks ago (8 months after receiving AIP letter) we logged in. ECAS still said "in process" however after clicking "in process" they have updated it and deleted the blurb about the letter and replaced it with "A Decision has been made you will be contacted."

We have called the CIC and have received numerous possibilities.... that the decision made blurb could be about AIP, Computer Glitch, and even that the process may be fully complete, however we have not received a letter to date nor does ECAS state that it has recently sent a letter.....

any ideas?

The application is probably complete and has been forward to your local CIC. Depending on the CIC (if it is Etobicoke you are in for a very long wait) you should receive a letter giving you a date to appear for landing usually within about 2 months.
