Horns of a dilemma

Hi everyone, I am on the horns of a dilemma. Please advise me if u know anything about this issue. Sydney office received my application for permanent residence on February 25, 2010. I was asked to submit my full application with CHC London. I sent my full application on may 31 2010. In this application I couldn't send my transcripts in university sealed envelops because I thought my result cards are my transcripts and as I couldn't find out any way of making Punjab university seal them for me and stamp the envelop I sent CHC London my original result cards. Later on, i was able to get transcripts from University of Punjab and now i know that the university charges a fee and then sends the documents in a sealed envelop. Should i send my transcripts now or should I wait for CHC London to ask for them first. I got a letter from the visa office London on 15th July 2010 and they told me I have got to wait for one year. And I should contact them after 8 months if i don't get any letter from them.
what should I do? I have only these transcripts now. The result cards are already with CHC London. Should I sent them sealed transcripts now or should i wait for them to ask. I am afraid they might review my application after eight months and find it incomplete and may reject it without asking for transcripts. On the other hand, If I send them my transcripts now, what if they lose them and fail to attach them with my application or ask for the transcripts again. Punjab university takes hell lot of time in issuing transcripts.

what is the difference between result cards and transcripts??

you cannot ask punjab university to send your transcripts directly to CHC london because any additional documents sent needs a crucial information like file number, date of birth, address, etc with a cover letter. if you ask punjab university to send directly they not gonna write your file number, date of birth,address etc on your transcripts or a cover letter with your transcripts.

if you want to send any transcripts now send them on your own with a cover letter mentioning details.

Hi, Sorry I failed to mention in my earlier post that I am from Islamabad Pakistan. Result cards are not exactly transcripts as they don't give the names of papers passed in Punjab University result cards. They just mention the paper or course numbers. And as far as sending the transcripts through university is concerned the university people say that they will send them on their own but they can add my covering letter to the sealed envelop. This way my application number etc would go with the transcripts.

then its safe. just give them your cover letter with all necessary details. but make sure they send your cover letter as well. but do you know how punjab uni sends docs? is it by normal post or courier?? make them send by courier so you will know somebody signed your for your docs and the date when they delivered.

You should send the transcripts with a cover letter explaining your actions immediately. You should further request that they post back your result cards which you sent earlier. It is quite possible to update an application with further documents especially as you have received a file number which you can quote. You will very much blame yourself if a negative decision is passed on your application because of missing or incomplete information/documents.

Personally, I updated my application with new bank statements three months after I submitted my documents and there was no problem whatsoever. I only wrote a covering letter to explain and quoted my file number as I had received acknowledgement at that time.
