I was born in Ireland but lived and worked in Canada for 10 years. While there I became a citizen. For the last 10 years I have been living in Ireland with my husband and children. We are hoping to return to Canada to live. Should my husband apply for a PR card or is there something else we should do? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

1. You are going to have to sponsor him (your children are Canadians if they were born after you became a citizen). If not, they are included on the application.
2. As a Canadian you can sponsor him while residing outside Canada. The forms and guides are here. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp
3. You should apply for proof of citizenship for the children if you haven't already http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/certif.asp
4. Your application will require a statement as to your plans in Canada (study/work/accommodation) when your spouse is issued a visa (COPR)

Thanks so much for your reply, i'm in the process of applying for my children's certificates but was a bit unsure as to which way my husband should apply. Thanks again
