No, my status has not yet changed, I am out of town and will check when I get back next week. I will let you know as soon as something changes.

Since I am writing to you, I like to ask regarding my police record. I have never live in Hong Kong, I am assume there are no need for Hong Kong Police record. I have prepared one from Taiwan and any other locations I have lived in the last 10 years and forwarded the complete package at time of the application, I assumed that is all I need regarding criminal record.

Thanks for your input and assistance, I will let you know if I have any update.

Thank you.

You won't be requested for Hong Kong police record (You've never lived there), if the VO requests any police records that will be any countries you've lived more than 6 months in the past 10 years which you have attached with your application already.

Hope we can all be in process soon........I'm running out of patience :'(

Just a caution here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/intro.asp
says "each country or territory where you have lived for six or more months in a row since the age of 18"

In my experience on this forum, whenever someone pointed to the CIC website in a case of ambiguity or conflict with application forms, the website subsequently proved to be the final authority. Hence I wouldn't be putting much weight on just "past 10 years" when the website makes no mention of that limitation.

I'm planning to travel to Canada in the first week of October for a 4-5 month long stay, but I'm still waiting for DM and PPR. I'm wondering if I get PPR during my stay in Canada, how long do they keep my passport for? And am I allowed to stay in Canada while I send my passport into HKVO? Do I have to re-enter Canada with the COPR in hand or can I mail the COPR to me and go to a CIC office to make it official?

You're right, it should be any country the applicant has lived 6 months or more since the age of 18, I think I mixed up with the personal history.

U can send a PDF passport copy via online to HKVO if you holding a visa-exempt passport or send an original passport to Ottawa if you stay in Canada for next 3 months. In my case I received a PPR during I am a visitor in Canada, I sent my passport via online and mail my photos and PPR letter to HKVO directly.

It has been since Sep, 4 that our eCAS has been changed to "In process" and on Sep, 9 a new line appeared "Started processing application on Sep,8" but we received the AOR email just today (Sep,18). Our application was filed on June, 25 and SA on Aug, 31. So hold on, it seems that they are just slow sometimes...
