I received two emails for doc request, one for HK police cert, one for re medical.
On ecas, (with date of request) there is only a line saying a re medical request was requested . (no line mentioning the HK police cert request)

I dont think ECAS will show many specific details.

still waiting for PPR...

Hi tryee,

Just want to let you know that my visitor visa has been approved on Sept 9.
Finally, after waiting 3.5 months, i have an official status in Canada till the end of 2015.

Dont worry, just apply for a visitor extension 1-2 months before your work permit expires.

Thanks for the information cutietal. I am waiting on my work permit, my 3years works visa has already expired. I'm under implied status. If I can't get that approved then I will try the visitors visa. Hope I will hear some good news from them as well by the end of this month.

Tryee:)

When did you apply? I'm still waiting for an answer for my visttor visa

When the visa office ask you for your passport, do you forward them the original or a PDF copy? How do they issue you a visa for entry, if only a PDF copy is forwarded? I have been reading some of the entries and do not understand the steps, can someone make these steps more clear to me.

My application is still being process, however it seems sometimes the HK VO give you a short time to response, so I thought to ask some of the questions ahead of time. If you receive a COPR, then they will ask you for the passport, is that correct?

Thank you for some experienced inputs.

Since you are a U.S. citizen, you may scan all pages of your passport as PDF file and upload it here https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/case-cas-eng.aspx?mission=hong%20kong

When does your eCAS change to in process (or what's the date your application is in process)?
