How did u check whether HK Visa office has received your police cert? I got the police cert request on Oct 16 and did it on Oct 20. Thank you very much!

you can call HK police anytime to confirm which date they've sent out the police cert, it has a number on your payment receipt, HK police would answer dureclty by your phone inquiry.

1. Is it all bland box from the form should write "NA" even in IMM0008 printed with a bar-code?
2. my passport will be expire on Jun 2015, can I submit my new passport information to CIC after I mailed my application?
3. Do you guys know what is this, I found this form from the Guide 3999? "Request for police certificates/clearances and authorization for release of information"

In my situation are:
- all form is completed and signed when I went to Canada (i back to HK on 3 Nov, 2014)
- medical check in HK on 6 Nov, 2014 (use my old passport number)
- apply for a new HK passport and will get my new passport on 24 Nov, 2014
- my spouse and i wanna mail my application to CIC on tmr in Canada (i.e. 15/11/2014)

1. I think you don't have to write N/A, but it probably wouldn't hurt by doing so.
2. It is a good idea to inform CIC about your new passport, and provide a copy of the information page. You may want to wait until you have received the UCI, so it will be easier to refer to your application when you supply new information.
3. That is a self help letter for you to show the police authority that the reason you need for the police certificate. But it doesn't work with the Hong Kong police, you need to wait for the Hong Kong visa office to send you a letter requesting the police certificate before you can apply with Hong Kong police.

I got HKVO request police cert & photos.
I did the police cert on 29 oct. Didn't receive anything from HKVO after that
