So far, refugees are at risk of losing protected person status, and thus Canadian status as well, due to travel to home country, only before or while they are a Permanent Resident.

Thus, travel to home country after becoming a Canadian Citizen should not put your Canadian status at risk.

Once a Canadian citizen you are eligible for a passport and can obtain one in due course. That will facilitate international travel consistent with all other Canadian citizens, recognizing, however, that of course each country determines who is allowed to enter that country. Canadian law does not dictate what rules or restrictions another country may impose.

I assume this query arises relative to the Canadian Refugee or Protected Person Travel Document, which explicitly does not authorize travel to the protected person's home country. I do not believe there is any similar restriction on the passport of a Canadian citizen due to being a protected person.

Nonetheless, it is still up to the law in the destination country whether entry into that country will be allowed.

You can use it but it proves how terrible and in danger was your life in your home country ...
