I have a friend who works at (a certain) CHC. I requested her to tell me about the status of my application. She told me that all SAP applications are 'on hold' awaiting new 'ministerial instructions'. My friend is in no position to tell more or to expedite the procedure for me. I had a chat with her for almost 15 minutes on this matter. This 'rule' is for ALL VOs around the world, except for those who have already been issued medical instructions. They're being asked to resubmit their medicals (Usually 2004-05 cases).
If the new parliament decides so, they'll take up our cases. Let us hope and pray for this. :)

Everyone read this:

Khaled seems true.

Pl. reply.

Only pre Feb 2008 files are on hold. There may be a delay in processing of your case due to other reasons, e.g. a particular occupational reaching its cap or extra ordinary work load at VO. You need not worry ... you'll be through this year or the next :)

Do you have an idea when the parliament will issue its decision?

may be 26 june 20100

I believe this information(Pre 2008 on hold for 2 yrs) is true. Looks like Pre 2008 applicants will have to wait infinitely.

This would definitely suck big if they plan to hold the backlog (pre C-50 applicants) even further ...

:'(

it is evident now that they have lost interest on pre 2008 applicants and to a good extent for 2008- June 2010 Applicants. I have no doubt that CIC wants pre 2008 applicants to withdraw their files or wait for indefinite period of time. they have narrowed their job market for skilled people. they dont need diversified class of a particular NOC anymore.

we all will get our calls for sure but we gotta wait. nothing else we can do now.
good news for Post 2008 applicants that they'd get their calls in 2 yrs time.

Hi Jonathan

Do you know what yr of old styem applicant are you currently processing in Singpaore VO?
I have noticed lots 2006 applicants are getting their visa in HK.
They have closed down VO in Taiwan and began to tranfer us to HK VO.
Now, it will takes even longer for me now.
It's such as a big dissappointment.

I got no info from 2006 applicants of CHC Singapore but I can tell you from the trend, that they will get it for sure. may be in 5-7 yrs from the date they applied. previously it was 4-5 years. I hope you have read this reply from different VO's.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.
Since you applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after February 27, 2008 and before June 26, 2010 , your application will take two years or more to be processed. This is due to the fact that Canada received over 425,000 applications under this program during this period. However, If you wish to withdraw your application, you may be eligible for a refund of your processing fees.
* Unfortunately, it will take longer to process federal skilled worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.
* During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.
* This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the federal skilled worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Hi Jonathan

thanks for your prompt reply.

Yes, I have seen the same reply from other VO also.
It's strange because some VO replies "we will start process your file this year or next year.
but other VO(New Delhi) says "your application will take two years or more to be processed"
Do you think they all mean the same that we have to wait AT LEAST 2 yrs?

It's strange because I ordered CAIPS about 3 months ago and CAIPS indicates an officer has wrote an email to CIC Ottawa to request a medical request for me.
do you think by any chance I would get Medical request next year?
I really don't want to wait for another 2 yrs.

jonathan1977

2 years period has been the maximum time set by the CIC, and this ends in Nov/Dec 2012. when did you apply and whats your and Visa office? i will then write something.

Hi Jonathan.
Sorry for my late reply.
I have just noticed your msg.
My VO: Taipei.
It will be closed and they will finish tranfering all file Hong Kong office by 6/17 2011.
File No date: Jan/2007
Full document submitted day: Nov/2009

Do you have any idea about this?

thanks
