Today late afternoon HKVO messaged my wife. Asking for proof of intent to immigrate and show our marriage license. First I send in what I thought was whay they wanted. Marriage registration at the bureau in her city. My questions are does this email from them mean we will fail? Also what do I do about proof to leave? Please any advice. This is completely unreal. Dont deserve this. Very worried now will fail us because of this.

First, deep breath - this is what you wanted, some sign that someone is looking at your file.
I don't know what they mean by marriage license or what is used in China; provide what you provided before, presumably marriage certificate or registration, and ask what else they need.
Intent to immigrate/return to Canada: discussed here before. Show your plans, what you've done, if you intend to quit your job but haven't given notice, explain in a note that you can't until you know timing, your intent where to reside in Canada, show them your e.g. contacts with movers or the cat people, opening bank accounts, job searches, housing searches, whatever you can. Just show seriousness of intent.
Obviously you may have provided most of this before - helps if you can update with anything new. Don't send them 500 pages but also don't be afraid to repeat stuff before. Write a short explanation of what your plan is if something is missing (e.g. we will reside with parents initially to find better housing locally and look for job, I'll do this, she'll do that, etc). Keep your written explanations to the point - no need to write Dostoyevsky - and as factual as you can.
And deep breath - someone's looking at your file. They just asked for additional documents, it's probably fine.
Unlikely. You did not get a procedural fairness request, you got a request for more info.
Stop worrying about what could happen, and focus on responding to them.
This is just a basic info request. Sounds to me like somoene a bit inexperienced, if they're asking you for marriage documentaiton you already provided.
Yes they can fail you for this if you dont satisfy them. Thats why I always said its a dbl edged sword with ircc. Sponsors who stay in Canada are asked why they didnt visit and those who live abtoad are being grilled to prove they will go back...ridiculous. yes ive seen pfl issued on this forum for not satisfying their highness.
My opinion just a money making scheme it is. Take your money, process all along and get hopes up and fail. Far as Im concerned whatever. I wipe my ass on1085 dollars. Exhausted of this system.
