Hi i passed my medical on March 23rd 2022 been through additional latent tb test as per immigration request , still waiting for interview and copr. Everything is completed in tracker .My spouse is sponsoring me .she already raised a webform stating that she knows about my hiv status and she want to process my application without any delay.
For my case, is there still be a interview or they will process my application.?
Please help .i am waiting from last three months.
how long it took for you to get copr after medical passed?
Are you still waiting? There shouldn't be any more interviews as long as you both are aware of your status.

Hey ,
When you say HiV positive, does it mean the RNA test is positive too? My spouse 707( antibodies/antigen) test is positive but further tests in specialist report come negative. They have again asked for the same test. Shall we go for the same test again or first confirm the issue with infectious disease specialist?
Sorry I just saw this. Did you already go through all the tests again and confirm the diagnosis?

Would not pursue extra testing until it is requested not all HIV positive people are requested to repeat all this testing.

Hello all, I am happy to report that my spouse who is HIV positive passed the medical test and we both received our copr last month. There was no interview with the immigration officers but as soon as I knew if my spouse's status, I wrote them an email saying I am aware of it. They then requested my spouse to go see an infectious disease specialist referred to by IOM. My spouse had to repeat all blood tests including viral count and cd4. It cost quite a lot of money but we didn't go through any interview and passed medicals at the end. I hope this helps answer some of the questions here.
Hi and thanks a lot. I followed your template and had my spouse write to let them know he is very much aware of my status. I too had no interview whatsoever, medicals passed and I have received my visa and should be in Canada in a few weeks

You can just write a web form to the visa office that's processing your case. Or find their email address on Google and drop them an email.
Thanks a lot. My Visa came two weeks ago and I should be in Canada in a few weeks.

Hello everyone please does this mean that when you start sponsoring your partner it’s best to inform the CIC that you are already of your partners status so they wouldn’t waste anytime with the interview?

Hello everyone,
I have followed this forum for a while and would like to know your thoughts on my recent predicaments. Last two weeks I was diagnosed of HIV and the viral load is quite high with a low CD4 count (less than 200) although I am very okay, no symptoms no other STI whatsoever. I know this because my doctor did every test possible. I got my ARVs today.

Now we have an ongoing spousal sponsorship application and I got an email yesterday to go for medicals.

I want to know about the recent process with the panel physician.

Should I wait for my CD4 count to go high before I go for this medical?

Whats the recent procedure for partner notification? Will they still notify him formally?

What effect does the new diagnosis have against our application? We just recently got married and we have been apart all these while.

Please I need as much inputs as possible because my anxiety and fear are over the roof. Someone please help, offer a word of encouragement if possible.

Thank you.
