Hello Bro,Hi Guys, I am young man who got positive in hiv as young as 23 yrs old, I know that this got to me at an earlier stage but I know my life wont stop here. I dream to study in canada thats i applied for student visa. I already paid 100,000 in peso just for applying a visa in a visa center and figure out that I may get denied because of medical exam. i dont want to disaapoint my family because we invested a big amount of money. Right now Im still waiting for my ITA and i cant help myself to get worried. Im just a young man who wish to have a brighter future despite of my condition. If anyone had the same issue with me and got approved please help me to understand.
Hey Bro,Hi! May questions lang po ulit ako. Meron po ba ditong kakatapos lang magpamedical? Ano po yung procedures na pinagdaanan or additional lab tests kapag plhiv? And meron po ba ditong nasa Ontario na PLHIV?
Hey bro,Hello. I also plan to study in canada and make it as a pathway na rin. Have you tried applying or do you know what are our chances? Thank you
Hey bro,Yes sure! Target ko this January 2022 na class and got my Loa narin from school after paying the tuition fee. Sana okay lang medicalz
Hey bro,Hello guys, same here with your situation and also From philippines rin. Traget ko rin to start my application next year January. I hope na maging maayos yung application process natin at magrant tayo ng visa. Please keep us updated po sa mga nakagrant ng visa under our situation po. TB-Free here, but advised me to have my medication for TB kahit wala akong TB and was just diagnosed HIV+ this year.
Hey bro,Guys to people who had came thru with an agency . Did you disclose your hiv status to any agent? or did you just disclose it on the medical? Has there at any chance to know your status to the agent that handled you if you will hide to them? I'm in my preparation now for the January 2023 Intake for student. Please give me an insight, Thank you.
Look its IRCC who will assess you so you have to tell IRCC about it and also to the doctor doing your medical as they will be the one who will send the report directly to IRCC. Agent just represent you they have nothing to do with the reports. They will fill your forms, submit your application and only care for the fees they don't care if you get approval or refusal. They will only give the excuse as ' I only filled and did as you said' , so its solely your responsibility to keep things straight.Guys to people who had came thru with an agency . Should we go with the SDS or NON SDS being an HIV patient if I go with the SDS my medical will be processed first and IRCC might not know that I have already paid the entire year fees for the university so should I go for Non SDS? So that they will be having idea because I will have already started my Visa Application?Look its IRCC who will assess you so you have to tell IRCC about it and also to the doctor doing your medical as they will be the one who will send the report directly to IRCC. Did you apply through SDS or non SDS?Amrit_92, I got the visa without any problems.
They run the blood tests to check your CD4 and viral load. If these are okie, there should be no problem. I wasn't even asked to show expenses for my medicines, as told by few lawyers and doctors. Although I had mentioned this in my SOP that the medical and medicines will be taken care by my family.
I have brought 3 months supply of ARV. After three months, my MSP kicks in and the ARVs will be covered by that free of charge. (this is for British Columbia). I had applied the visa using my admission letter from Concordia University which is in Montreal, Quebec. Quebec doesn't cover the whole cost of ARVs, but there are many resources where you can get it for free. I have few contacts there. I can help you with that if u are planning to go to Quebec.
From this experience I have realized that, HIV isn't a big deal with Canada, if your CD4 count is good and Viral load is undetectable.
They do make an issue with TB. So better do the Gamma Interferon test for TB because an HIV positive person will definitely be prescribed that.
Also, please inform your doctor about your status so that there are no delays and the additional tests for CD4 and viral load be done quickly.
Any question. Let me know.
Apply with SDS or Non SDS?you can apply you won't be denied if you don't have TB, there would be a condition on your study permit and yours may take little more time. but you are good, go ahead and apply with proper documents.
