Hi folks, I am applying for EE and my AOR is 18 April. I am HIV positive and on Atripla. At the time of my initial IME, I submitted 722(HIV Expert Report) and other tests. Now My medical center informed me that there are further requirements and two new popups on my application- 1)Consent Form and 2)Province and Duration of stay. Is it normal? which province should I mention for fastest processing of my application

Hi,

I was also diagnosed with HIV+, I think those informations will interest you :

AOR : 27/11/2018
médical : 21/11/2018 ( I informed the panel physician that I am HIV +)
* two week's later, he asked me to bring a détailed report from my doctor ( a report wich contain all the information about my médication, VL, CD4 and....)
* 18/01/2019 : I received a mail from The London Regional Medical Office : "they ask me to do Hepatitis B and C test."
Your immigration medical examination result has been received and in order to complete the assessment additional information is required.
Please contact the office of your Panel Physician or any other Panel Physician approved by IRCC, who will need your IME number (indicated above) to access the instructions for the additional tests to be performed.
You have 60 days from the date of this letter to comply with this request.

* 09/05/2019 :
I received a furtherance letter from Ottawa : ( sorry for the tradution, the original one was in frensh) : "they ask me to do an
Interferon Gamma Release Assay Known as the IGRA test ( for détection of tuberculosis)

We need additional medical information in order to adjudicate your claim.
Details regarding the required medical information have been sent to your eMedical record. You
please return to the designated physician who has given you your regulatory medical examination
for Immigration Purposes (EMR) or another designated physician with access to the eMedical system
(). The latter will make the necessary arrangements to make you
pass the additional medical examinations and will transmit the results directly to this office.
You have 60 days from the date of this letter to comply with this directive.

Now i am waiting for the next ..... good luck to everybody
Sorry for my english.

May be you should check with your medical center on a regular basis instead of waiting for those letters. My medical center got request for Hep B/C and IGRA after 3 weeks of submitting my original medicals. They did not call me as they process many applications every day and cannot possibly keep track of all of them. I asked them to check the latest status of my IME and they informed me there were new popups on my application in their eMedical system. My RMO is in New Delhi. Have not received any letter from him so far. Checking with your PP on a regular basis would probably help your file to move a bit faster, IMHO.

Hi there!

Is Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate the same as Atripla?

When I started it was 4 pills per day then 2 pills, now I'm only taking one pill per day and my VL is undetectable.

Beside the HIV, I don't have Hepatitis, neither AIDS.

Do you think I have a chance?

I am HIV Positive for the past three years (living in USA)... Continuously UD and CD4 constantly between 1100 > 1300

Once the new Triple-Threshold rule was introduced in April, I went and I applied for the Entry Draw in May (CRS score: 467) and recently got my medicals cleared (Medical Exam + Additional Medical Exam)

No "Medical Inadmissibility" letter was involved.

I was informed that i may have to just sign few forms like HIV Partner Notification, handout forms and form detailing When / Where to get care once I land

@Nibson2000 Please go ahead and apply if

1) if ur taking Drugs which lost the patent in Canada u are fine. I am on Atripla and it helped my case ( Generic manufactured by Mylan: 4000 CAD per year, even the Brand Ones are lesser than 10000 CAD). If u are not, switch to Atripla for 6 months before applying.

2) if ur VL is continuously Undetectable, Good C and has all the medical records ( here in the US, I waived off the confidentiality agreement with my Clinic to release the Doctor notes for the CIC -Additional medical exam Internal Medicine Specialist who requested it)

Best of Luck for your Application

P.S: People should not have an opinion on everything. Half-mentoring (even if the intention is morally right) is extremely dangerous.

Hey,

ATRIPLA is a combination drug. It doesn't just contain TDF. It has efavirenz, emtricitabine, and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF)

Your eligibility depends on What is your drug regimen currently costs in Canada, how long you have been in treatment and undetectable. No history of AIDS, Hep or any other infection does help the cause.

What is the name of the combination pill you are taking?

Guys, Just saw the update on my profile. Passed my medicals.
I am so excited. Was literally jumping with joy.
Just wanted to understand what would be the next steps for me. How much time would it take now approximately?
When I last connected with CIC, they mentioned my eligibility and background check was done. However my consultant said that ideally eligibility and background check steps after Passing medicals. Can you give me a clarification on this please?
I will try connecting with them tomorrow as well considering they are working on a Saturday.

Hi ,

I am from India and I was detected in march 2019, with VL 7400 , I was undetectable within a month.

my question is do I need to wait for 6 months before going for medical or can I create profile right away? My cars score is 471 so expect ITA as soon as I enter the pool, will be great if someone could shed light on this and medical procedure for his positive guys in India ..

Looking forward for response.TIA

Not sure about the six month timeline, may be somebody else might shed light on that. For medical procedure, your doctor would do the regular CD4 and viral load tests. There would be additional tests requested by IRCC after a point of time, 2-2.5 months after your medical (have seen this happen in multiple cases). The process might take a little time but looking at my case, I can say that with good health, you should be able to pass the medicals.

Hi,

I am from India. I was diagnosed with HIV+ in November 2017 and I have been on ART drug (Efavirenz, Emtricitabine & tenofovir tablet) ever since. My CD4 and Viral load UD and other reports are pretty good. Now, I have been thinking to migrate to Canada for work. I have no family member In Canada.

So my concern right now is how much does the treatment cost? And is there a chance that I can migrate with given condition of my health?

Any advice or suggestions will be dearly appreciated.
Treatment cost is free. There may be a medication cost depending on which province you live. It ranges from $0-$20 per months in most provinces and annual income based cost in Ontario, Quebec and Manitoba.

Your HIV released medical profile is good. You have a very good chance of clearing the medicals.

Good luck with your application
