As mentioned earlier, if your case is straightforward and you have the time, there are no tricks; you can do it on your own. I am doing it on my own and many others too.

Has your lawyer or consultant already created a profile for you? You cannot have tow active profiles at the same time. If you have any existng profile, you will have to withdraw that first. Also, if you already have a profile, try to get screenshots of all the pages before withdrawing the same as it will come handy while creating the profile on your own.

You can use the following links to understand and create your Express Entry profile.
  • Check Eligibility - http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp
  • CRS Score Calculator - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp
  • Express Entry FAQs - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/questions-answers-by-topic.asp?top=29

The consultant is the one to create the express entry profile and thus i wont have access untill they provide me with the log in details
Sir/Madam,

I mentioned:
I had similar feeling with you. So I advised as posted, You can do it yourself and take your consultant as someone answer your questions.
But it's up to you to evaluate which way could ease your tense and concerns.

Then you mentioned:
Yes if i will do so will have to trust them completely and maybe always be in touch with the consultant,am still weighing the advantages vs the disadvantages

I thought you understood what I mean of "Do it yourself", that means create account yourself.

So if as you said your lawyer is the one create your profile, then it's not same.

As above Mr/Miss bellaluna and Mr/Miss Stanlee suggested, you could evaluate your time/money, and how complicate your case is, then decide one of 3 ways:
1. Do it yourself and never contact the lawyer
2. Rely on the lawyer but he/she will not give you account access
3. Do it yourself and ask the lawyer and get answer when you have inquires

Great, then you are a freeebird, go ahead and refer to the links that I have shared and create your profile once you have IELTS and ECA ready. If you have any querés, you can read up relevant threads and if you any specific queries, you can post it here, people will be more than willing to help you. All the best!

Unfortunately the original plan was that they create my profile and not me do it

Hi experts, can someone please tell me if the sign-in partner login feature has an option to de-activate the One Time Password (PIN) process everytime a person logs in to the account? The person I know did not create a GCKEY application but a sign-in partner application
