Biometrics generally happens earlier on in applications and doesn't mean your application has been approved.

You haven't provided very many details so it's difficult to comment any further. It would help to know what kind of work permit you've applied for, where you've applied from, whether this is LMIA exempt or not, when you applied, etc.

Biometrics don't decided if your app will be approved or not. It's just one of the many steps an app goes through before your application is approved or refused.
