How high was your BP? I just got my medical and got 160/88, I was very nervous too. But they didn’t ask me for further examinations or tests
Mine was 150/85, 152/82

Most likely CIC will come back asking you to get cardiologist report. For me, they came back after 1-2 days.
You need to take eco cardiogram test and ECG. Meanwhile, if you see high bp at home then go to your regular doctor and get medication.
Also, check your x-ray report if there are any indications of heart enlargement.

my 2 cent - cardiologist appointments are difficult to get, there is always a waiting period. So try to get an appointment early

Don't worry much even if the panel doctor asks you to see a cardiologist. As long as you don't see any issue in your regular daily life, you should be good, you need to just get the report from the cardiologist. Now CIC has increased the cost so unless anyone as severe problem, the person should be able to pass medical

Thanks for your reply, the physicians who performed the medical is a cardiologist but he didn’t ask me for further tests. He just asked me for creatinine test. That’s what confuses me. Also creatinine test is now include within the blood test?

High blood pressure is related to kidney disease, kidney disease is expensive to treat. That is why creatinine is on the list of tests.

I know, but on the list there’s already a creatinine test, if you have hbp they will order another test?

I wouldn't recommend it if you are not already on medication as it will probably show up in your blood test.
If you have high blood pressure all they will do is send you for an extra blood test, its nothing to worry about unless you have underlying health issues.

Only take no medication if you have been prescribed it.
There is no need to worry, high bp will not have an impact on your application.
My wife has high bp and was sent for an extra blood test during the medical.
We all passed our medicals.

Hi guys, my husband did his Med test 2 weeks ago and he got called back to redo the serum creatinine test because his level was high. He redid it last week and result was still high. Now we're not sure what that means for his application. please advise if you were in similar situation or if you have knowledge on this. Thanks.

Any update on Medicals from cic ?
can share my experience with medical -
I went for the test and my BP was way high, I guess I had slightly high BP but was not taking medicine, during the test, it was 180/100.
The doctor was nice and took multiple readings in intervals of 2 weeks, all reading was high. At that point, he submits my report and asks me to check the insurance
Later panel doctor's office calls me and asks me to see a specialist. with a set of instructions for specialists.
The cardio doctor took an echocardiogram and submit his finding which in my case was all okay, only issue was I had BP
The specialist asked me to take BP medicine and ask me to come after 1 week, he took my reading again and my BP was 115/80.
He updates his finding in the sheet, cleared me, recommended me to lose weight, I had BMI 29, age 36.
SUbmitted the sheet to cic through panel doctor. Medical got cleared after 15 days.
in short two think is important
- if you have high BP, make sure you are taking medication and your BP is control
- during echocardiogram your EF is > 55 and doesn't have any heart issues.
CIC will not refuse if you have any issues as long as it within the limit.

Hello Everyone,

I had my upfront medicals last week...everything went well except my BP 155/90. Cretenine test results were ok, but i was called by the hospital and referred to a cardiologist. ECG result turned out to be ok as well.

Since my medicals last week I started checking my BP and its around 127/88 at home but whenever I go to the hospital it shooots upto 150/90o_Oo_O

I am 37, today they have asked me for further tests..though ECG was ok..they will put me 24hrs BP observation machine and will take my blood test for cholestrol.

Hope everything turns out to be ok:D and doesnt effect my application!!
What was your creatinine level ?
