You can initiate divorce proceedings from within Canada.

How can I start the divorce? Will it take a lot of money and how long is the process? Can you please give me a referral on how can I file the divorce? Thanks you so much.

Talk to a lawyer. What province are you in? There are lawyers who can help you. Four years is a long time and sometimes relationships breakdown. You can be sponsored under spousal sponsorship if you have lived together for at least a year. You have to show proof that you have "merged" your lives.

another question is can he sponsor me as nanny to his 10 year old son or to my daughter?

No he cannot sponsor you as a nanny to your own daughter.

We are on the same situation. I am married in the Philippines but not legally separated. I've been living with my partner for almost six years and now that we had a baby here in Canada we declared that we are common law partner.

No. I'm not a permanent resident.I'm only a TFW.I am a holder of a OWP with the sponsorship of my common law partner because he is a skilled worker here in canada.
