It's not clear from your message if you have already applied for PR or not.

Getting married to a Canadian does not give you the right to apply for an open work permit.

If you have or will be applying for PR using the 'inland' process, then you will qualify for an open work permit after the first stage of processing has been completed. The first stage of processing takes 9-10 months to complete. To qualify for an open work permit after first stage processing has been completed, you must submit an open work permit with your PR application.

If you apply for PR using the 'outland' process, you will be able to work once your application has been approved and you have landed in Canada as a PR.

You still haven't said if you applied Outland or Inland, but from your question I am going to infer Outland. No, that approval after 42 days (60 now) has nothing to do with the applicant, it is approving your wife to sponsor you. You will NOT be able to work when she is approved, Outland applicants cannot work until approved for PR, unless they obtain a work permit.

If you applied Inland, then you are confusing the two processes. Inland applications are reviewed 10-11 months after received for Stage one approval or Approval In Principle (AIP). You may apply for an open work permit after receiving AIP if you did not already send your application attached to your PR application, but you will have to wait the 10 or so months until you receive AIP in that case.

if you want to get more responses, first of all you need to make a clear subject line mentioning the topic of your question.
