my working visa is going to expire this coming December 06 2010 for 2yrs..and i am planning to take a vacation with the same month (2nd week of dec)..obviously my visa that time is expired..now with my new contract (renew w/ same employer) if i get to my country Phillipines i am going to renew my visa so i can enter again here in canada..

now my question are..
Is that ok that leaving in canada w/ expired visa doesn't make any problem?..

And how long it takes renewing visa?..

And what are those possible requirements?..

Make life a little easier for you; renew everything before you leave. First renew your work permit. Since it takes quite a while to renew for the same employer then why not process it this month or next month. Then send your visa renewal application to the US.

i dont know maybe are employer feel dont care to us, they gave us the another one year extension that's it..then our turn for other papers to renew..lol..i'll try to ask them anyway..thx and god bless...

Just to share my experience...I hv just applied for RE-ENTRY VISA, I chose & paid for MULTIPLE ENTRY since my work permit will expire this Nov. I am planning to go for a short vacation now then will go for another next year, upon receiving my OPEN WKR PERMIT but unfortunately they based the validity of my re-entry VISA to my about to expire work permit, so sad! I feel that I've just wasted $75 for making it Multiple than SINGLE
I sent my TRV application to Buffalo JULY 6 & I have received it today valid until OCT.31,2010 only,my work permit is valid until Nov.2,2010.

That is why one have to renew the WP first before applying for the new TRV. Some times the expiration date of the passport validity will also limit the expiration of the new TRV.

you are right but unfortunately, I cn no longer renew my WP since our LMO is already expired & my employer doesn't want to go through another process, so instead I just hv to wait for my OWP to be released....then wait for my PRV to hv another vacation back home...
as of now, I am having my short period vacation til Oct.27 & come back b4 Nov.2, the expiration of my work permit.
Job_seeker, do u think I will have a problem getting in upon my return considering that my work permit is only valid for 6days? Can I reason out if ever I will be asked that I am just waiting for my OPEN WRK PERMIT which has been applied in APRIL'10 & show my mailing receipt??? Thanks a lot for being always around for us!God bless!!!
