Hi I dont have my Indian passport with me can I apply for Indian renounce Certificate

Hi my passport stuck at US consulate since 1 month for my H1 VISA , I dont know when they will release after stamping, I got my oath last week and and got the Canadian citizenship certificate ,

Renouncing Indian Citizenship certificate should I get it before applying for Indian VISA?

1) can I apply for my renounce certificate from Indian consulate or I have to wait for my Indian passport to come back to me ?
2) If I get my canada passport can I apply for Indian visa or I have to first get my Indian renounce certificate even to apply for Indian VISA>?

The indian passport gets stamped with a note stating cancelled (i forget the exact wording). so - you need your indian passport for the process of renouncing.

2) If I get my canada passport can I apply for Indian visa or I have to first get my Indian renounce certificate even to apply for Indian VISA>?

For a visa, you may not need an renounce certificate, depending on the type of visa

having said that, why not wait a little ???
