Hello. .I was wondering if someday experience this..we just submit our aapplication for spousal sponsorship inside canada last sept 2015.until now we never heard from cic.we don't yet receive any email from them.when I suppose to receive AOR Application of receipt. .? Im just worried now . hopefully there is no problem with our application. .thank you.god bless.

I never got any EMails until my sponsor was approved. You can try checking your application status. People refer to this as ECAS.

They tend to not send EMails unless they need stuff from you.

Click on the link I gave you and then just fill in the necessary information. Look for the status, it will be a link, and then click on it.

My timeline is going to be different because I applied outland and never did any OWP because of this. I got sponsorship approval in about 2 months. I know it takes a much longer time inland, though, for the entire application process. I'm not sure how long the various parts of inland take... there should be timelines posted around. Look for "inland" threads on this site and check everyone's timelines (they post them under their names like mine).

Do you have a UCI number? If you've ever had a visa or permit then you should have one already. Otherwise you'll have to wait to hear from them.

The OWP's seem to take up to 4 months.

About the AOR, sometimes they forget to send it. It can be that simple. Try to check your ECAS with your UCI number.

If you have a work permit, it has a UCI number. Put that into the link JamesinCanada gave.

My work permit I have now is temporary work permit.i am a foreign worker. .I'm waiting now an open work permit spousal sponsorship. .I married with a canadian guy.we apply last sept 2015.
