no. You should apply outside Canada.

I read somewhere that u can. U will have to send yr application to CIC Los Angeles. Check their website u will get all details. Just make sure u get yr study permit whle u still have a valid visitor visa to remain in Canada.

It depends on your nationality. I changed from visitor status to study permit.

No. You cannot. You have to apply outside Canada if you want to change your status from visitor to student. I have tried from inside Canada in December 2014 and got rejected. Even visa office in Los Angeles won't give you the visa if they get to know that you are on a visitor visa and applying from within Canada . I have tried these options. Now I am in UAE and have reapplied from here and waiting for the decision.

Of course you can't you need to apply for study permit separately... The requirements are really different...
