I applied for winter semester 2011 aka january session in early November 2010. So I got all my documents back with a final decision. Apart from main visa forms they had returned everything. Visa officer told me to reapply again with a documented explanation for missing information. he specified it . I was glad that he did not refuse me on the common reasons given to other applicants. It just goes to show that other aspects of my application were strong. I applied again with an updated offer letter for may session 2011 on feb 15

If you dont mind me asking what additional docs did the vo request. Did you pay 125$ again when you re-submitted your app this year.

. Yes I paid the student visa fees again. The reason was given according to my prrsonal profile. each applicant,s profile is different academically. They just asked for xyz explanation written on a piece of paper backed up with documentary evidence why xyz thing happens in your life

Nazia. If my understanding on this matter is correct if the vo requires additional docs or needs clarification on any matter then vo should have kept your case pending and you should not have been forced into re apply with a new fee and further delays.

Technically, visa officer should have gone for telephone interview or notify me via email if he needed some clarification on my part. since he was too short on time, Christmas holidays were approaching, my classes were starting on january 6 2011. If he had gone for the interview it would have taken me some time to prepare explanation, documentary evidence. I would be missing classes in any case. I would face a lot of issues because of that. I suppose in order to avoid such issues and confusion he told me to reapply for the next term with a new updated offer letter. To be honest, it was a sensible thing to do rather than kept it for pending and wasting my time .

It was your personal case so I guess if you are happy with the outcome than thats OK.

Hi friends....I am from Pakistan. and I was reached in Canada Fall 2010...

when i apply for visa,this forum help me too much....we make 9 Pakistani friends at this forum for visa processing....

8 out of 9 got their visa due to good preparation in file documentation.....

one is refused because he had applied in Qatar but he is Pakistani friend.

so we are all in Canada. After 6 month I open my account again ......if you need help and question about visa then you can ask me......
