Hi All,
Greetings from India.

I have applied a week back for EE and have submitted my EIO too

My IELTS score is 8.0

L - 8.5
R - 7.5
W - 7.0
S - 8.0

And ECA from WES which says 4 years of degree equivalency in Canada (Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Comm.)

Points totals are 435.

Can I expect ITA? or are there any options for increasing my points?

Seeking guidance.

Having 5 years of Indian Work Exp. only

Many thanks in advance.

Does this point summation also count your work experience ? If thats the case, I assume you can easily get a provincial Nominee :)

Re: Hi All - Seeking Help

I think so. Because I have submitted my exp. as well more than 3 years. Working in Digital Marketing and Advertising :)

Re: Hi All - Seeking Help

I am from India and I have Indian work Exp. only no Canadian Work Exp. Guide me

Your IELTS score is a Bingo, so as your experience; I wonder why you aren't above 450s in the CRS point scale ?

Whats your highest qualification? Undergad/Postgrad? And also your age ? I guess these must be the factors of lowering your score

best option for you to increase your score would be to get a Provincial Nomination. Apart from that all other factors of yours look good.

At 435 you may get an ITA in times to come but that may not be before next year but if you are in a hurry by all means go for a provincial nomination.

I have only done my graduation (Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Comm.) from India which acc. to my ECA report is 4years of Bachelor in Canada!
Age is 26

How do I got for PNP/Provincial Nomination?
I am doing all by myself.

I just recalculated your points ; its "468" on the CRS based on the information you provided please recheck

http://www.canadavisa.com/comprehensive-ranking-score-calculator.html

add the missing information to your EE profile for score adjustment :)

When I calculated it said I have 429 Points? How come?
Please share how did you calculate?

What is my CLB in each section?

Seeking Help

Dear Members,

I have continuous work experience in one of the NOC codes for only last 3 years out of a total 4 years. Rest of the work experience that i have is not available in any of the NOC codes.

Q. Should I only show the work experience that is applicable in one of the NOC & leave out the rest ? If yes, then will the CIC ask me about what I was doing during the gap .. i have total 4+ years of work experience. Will this go against my profile.

Q. The reference letters are one of the difficult things to get. I have seen the standard formats. Can someone who has already receiver the PR, please share the format they shared the reference letter in so that we can get it in that way.

Q. If i was not working for 5-6 months due to certain reasons, nor was I studying, will i have to give explanation & proof for those months that i was not doing anything. If yes, where & when will they ask me. i do not see any place where they have requested for such info in the forms. I do not want to be surprised at a rejection just becuz i did not know what to provide where :)

Q. Can someone please guide on the FUnds proof. My father is ready to provide the money to me as a gift. Will the CIC ask my proofs as to where my dad got that money. Or if Dad transfers the money to my account & says its a gift, that should suffice & CIC will not look into where my dad go the money from :)

Q. If I get an ITA & I apply with all the docs, I will also have to pay some about as cost of recovery. I know if they reject my application for incomplete documentation, they will refund the money. But please let me know if it goes for processing, what are the reasons that they can refuse my request since if the e-APR goes into processing, I will not be able get any refund if they reject my profile.

Sorry for asking so many questions but its a huge step i am taking & i would really need help of all other members if the forum.

Thank You & hoping for some responses !!
