hello all,

I came to Canada as student and completed UNIVERSITY MASTERS DEGREE 2 years from Ontario and I am getting 1 year full time CANADIAN NOC job experience in upcoming months.

3 years ago WHen i APPLIED FOR student visa for canada, I submitted my 3-4 years work / job experience letter to visa office along with pay slips and income tax returns for student visa .
.

now when I calculate my CRS SCORE *without* MY COUNTRY WORK EXPERIENCE then my score is 501

when I calculate my CRS SCORE WITH my country WORK EXPERIENCE then its 551

my friends TOLD ME THAT IF YOU SUBMIT YOUR COUNTRY WORK EXPERIENCE then CIC will take more time because they will take extra steps to VERIFY IT,

I am thinking to apply without SHOWING MY BACK HOME WORK EXPERIENCE TO get PR file processed faster.

MY QUESTION
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
should I NOT SHOW MY back home work experience and go with 501 points?

should I show back home work experience and go with 551 points??

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
please answer guys

I am heavily confused.

501 is more then enough points.

Save yourself from trouble of producing extra document and some more processing time.

501 is pretty good marks and hopefully you can be invited in the next draw so if you think you will find it difficult in getting experience letter from your previous work in your home country then I suggest you go with with the 501.

From other responses I have read from senior members...
I believe you can leave your foreign work experience OUT of 'Work History' section for points.
(501 is high enough for you to receive an ITA considering the cutoff score in last 2 draws.)

But have to include them in 'Personal History' section under 'Personal Activities - Employment' because IRCC just needs to know what/ where/ who you have been for the last 10 years.
You don't have to provide proof for anything listed under Personal History.
But that's on the applicant's side, whether IRCC officers will/ will not try to verify what you put there, I don't know...(so your friend might be right).

It's ok as long as you mention it in the personal history section once you receive your ITA.

It is also ok to avoid writing in caps.

First of all excuse me for using caps.

so I Just need to mention it in personal history section and then I dont need to submit any work experience letter or documents, right??

what about the documents/work experience letter/pay slips which I submitted at the time of student visa? will they not question me that why this guy sent all documents at time of student visa and now he is not sending any past work experience letter for ITA?

Just curious, dont know how EE works.

So simply put it's like this:

In the personal experience section you MUST mention everything you did in the past 10 years (or since turned 18)! These are education, employment, unemployment, organizations, etc. YOU CANNOT leave gaps in this section, so if you had a job that you did for 2 months, mention that... If you changed jobs in the same month but were not working for 10 days, mention that... You get the pictures, right?

In the work experience section you MUST mention everything you want to get points for, but as you are claiming points you must prove with reference letters, payslips, T4, etc.

Your idea of not including foreign work experience will save you the trouble of getting the reference letters and other documents for your foreign work, however, this could backfire if at the time you get ITA you only have 11 months and 20 days of WE... You'll fail to qualify as CEC and your application will be cancelled.

My advice is to play it as safe as possible and apply with all your work experience, but if you still want to apply with just Canadian WE then wait until you have at least 13 months of WE in Canada. Remember, so officer will sit down to calculate your exact amount of WE and time and time again we see people here getting caught out because they though they had 12 months but according to IRCC they have just under 12 months....

Thanks a lot for your reply,
I am planning to apply only after I get proper 14 month Canadian work experience, so I am not going to apply right away.

Just to clear again one last time, I wont be in any issue if I do not include my foreign work experience? the officer wont misjudge me?

Thanks a ton for replying and giving your time.

No, I am going to do the same as well as I am finding it difficult to get my exp letters from back home. It doesnt matter to the officer. U only have to prove what u claim points for.

Personal history is where you mention this.

No, explain in a LoE that you are having dificulties in obataining teh reference letters and since you're not claiming points for this you decided to include that only in you Personal Experience section. You'll be fine.

I urge both of you to be extra careful about the CEC requirements of having at least a total of 1560 hours of work exp. If you have that then you'll be fine! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp

Good luck!

Thanks man. Yeah I have been working full-time for more than a year now, but a part of it includes time when my PGWP was in process and I was under implied status. But that is okay per CIC.
