hi all,
i am new here, i would like to start-up discussion for persons being process from Jamaica. lets share our experience with each other.
suh let mi go fust.
my processing began in may 2008, in 2009 i receive a letter instructing me to print forms and supply the additional information and return within 120 days. since then i have been waiting for an interview or instruction for medical examination to be given. are there anyone sharing my experience or have better luck than what i'm having.

Hi jahmacian. I have also applied from our local visa office in Jamaica from Sept 2007. I have also submitted updated application forms and documents in April 2009,but after doing that i am still waiting for medical or an interview.

thank you everyone for replying, now what i gather/understand is that our processing is going to take a bit of time since most of us initially made our application sometime in 2007, in jamaica. one of the thing i believe held-up my application is the fact i had a problem providing all the funds needed, i am now over that obstacle and was inform by an CHC officer (this is an officer at the receptionist counter ) i will be hearing from them soon.
what soon means i am not sure! but i have my fingers cross it means this year 2010.
so not providing all document can result in delays, i read that somewhere on CHC website .

well i will continue to post any new happening and i do hope mi bredren dem will do the same.

have anyone ever requested CHC to release detail of medical examination before it actually being ask, also i have a daughter (baby) would she be ask to undergo medical as well.

Did it on my own. Yes, I started my application in 2009.

Ok you applied directly to a province, is that what you did. i made my application directly to to the CHC embassy serving jamaica so i guess its an general application to any province.
question are you from jamaica or one of those countries canada process quickly.

Mine is general too under FSW, not the Provincial Nominee Program. I am based here in Cayman Islands. Mine is a being processed a bit faster than yours coz my application falls under the fast track process. If I am not mistaken you applied under the old system so it's not moving as fast as those who applied from November 2008 onwards.

Today i tried viewing the processing time to have an idea on how long applications will take to process, form jamaica but nothing is out as yet.

i also check my application online, but no changes just the same "In process", bouy this ting is nerve rocking. LOL ;D.

so how are you guys doing.

suh how yuh du, hope yuh doing beta than mi keepin dem nerve deh calm....LOL.

Hello Jahmacian,
From your posting,you said you applied in 2007 and if you did then you cannot be in the fast track only if you withdrew your application and then resent it under the fast track.Also,i heard from another forum that 2007 applicants transaction was held still as at February this year but they commenced work on them again this March.So i guess work has started again on 2007 applicant. It is well,just keep the faith and be strong.
