Here's all the info I got about translators and how to research for the best one

To find the best quote for translating documents, do some research first. Certified translators could be found on the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO). http://www.atio.on.ca/
You could search for translators in a certain city, or choose a region from the drop down menu. And you could specify the language as well.

Get the list of translators, scan your documents and email the translators and ask for a quote. They usually reply same day or next day. So, in one day you could email a long list of translators and get the best quote!

I have done some research on translators in Ottawa and GTA. They specialize in Arabic translations (to and from) English.

So, I wanted to translate 2 national ID documents, 2 birth certificates and a marriage certificate. Here is the info I got:

In Ottawa and vicinity:

  • National ID: $20 each
  • Birth certif: $25 each
  • Marriage certif: $50
  I TOTALLY recommend her. She gave me a fair quote and did the work with great accuracy and promptness, and the translated docs were organized.

  He translated docs for me before and I REALLY REALLY don't recommend him AT ALL!
  It was full of mistakes and I had to go to him several times to make corrections, and it really was not organized!
