MY EMAIL
hello sir /madam
I have couple of questions regarding purchase of GIC
i already have sent the filled GIC application form along with the copy of my passport and letter of acceptance from the college , but the form was one in which there was no provision to edit it on the computer , so i hand filled the form and submitted it . Now the new form on the website of scotia bank is computer editable so my question is
1) do i have to fill the new form and send it to newaccount@scotiabank.com again
2) and is it mandatory to do the wire transfer only from the branches listed on the form ????
or
I can do the wire transfer from any other bank too ?????
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON
THANKS IN ADVANCE
and their response
We thank you for your interest in Scotiabank's Student GIC Program and attach the relevant application form and process document to assist you.
Submit this application with all supporting documents to Scotiabank by scanning and emailing readable copies in a single PDF file to newaccount@scotiabank.com. Students must indicate “Scotiabank Student GIC Program” on subject line.
The email should contain only ONE PDF with all the documents.
Further to your query with regards to transfer of funds, yes the funds can be wire transferred from any bank in which you hold your account and has the facility to do so in to your Scotiabank Student GIC account in Canada.
Trust this helps.
Thank you,
