Hepatitis B positive

dear all please can anyone advise on what the rules about hepatitis B is? if one is a carrier but not a sufferer i.e you are positive but not suffering any symptoms as a result of it and you cannot transfer it to anyone. Does cio reject hepatitis B carriers? please share your ideas and experience. thanks

It is solely on discretion of visa office plus it also depends what your regional medical officer wrote in his/ her report. Hwever u can hv an idea by contacting any cic designated dmp in ur country / city. To find one search cic.gc.ca by kwyword designated medical practioners.

Plus In my opinion if a disease ia nt transferabel and does not require extensive treatment thwn there is no problem.

You will need to get the detailed prognosis from a consultant....my spouse has a treated hep-b. We got detailed report of the treatment from our consultant. It only delayed us for six months. We just got our passport request......

I dont think it will have a negative impact on the outcome. If your ASt and LST are fine, then its ok as it wont cause excessive demand on health care and cant be transmitted since the person is just a carrier.

You are likely to re-do your medicals if the results come out positive, its the re-medicals that'll confirm its not contagious, it shouldnt pose any problem, but be prepared for some delay, re-meds do take time, this is because cic is no longer bound to the time frame, they have pushed the blame to your door post

from my experience, they only will examine your urine(sugar, protein, RBC), and blood (only for specific disease, HIV that is communicable , details examination on blood sample will not be done, unless some specific systrom is found in the unrine). So if you dont disclose it , how they will khow ?
I think it would cause no problem since it is neither communicable nor showing any syntrom.

well some answers about needing a positive medical are in the nearly 6 year old thread above but maybe create a new fresh post specific to yourself given the nature and individual condition of hep b and for sure do not as one of these old posts suggests not declare it as that would be misrepresentation. Also as this is just a public forum any advice will be general unless you are lucky to have a medical professional comment ultimately really depends on the medical outcome being positive re risks.

Good day, i am hepa b carrier and iam interested to work in canada, but all agencies here in the philippines has a discrimination about hepa b. please im begging you i want to work in Canada any work that fits me. please
