Helping my boyfriend immigrate to Quebec

Hey, I'm in a relationship with someone from the US, and he'd like to move to Quebec to live with me.
We've just started researching the whole immigration thing, and it's a lot to take in, so I'd really love any advice.
What's the best way to go about this situation?

He'd like t come here as a student and get a college education, but I have a hard time understanding how coming here as a student would work or what the pros and cons are. It's also really expensive for foreigner to study here..

I also thought me and my family could sponsor him, but after some research, I saw that you can only sponsor common-law partners or someone you are married too.
For common law, you need to be living together for at least a year, so that would be probably the best option if I wanted to sponsor him, but how exactly do you live with someone for a year without them being officially immigrated here?

And then with Quebec there's the whole language thing , which makes it even more complicated for someone who only speak English..

I know I seem all over the place and confused, and honestly I am. Just looking for any type of advice on where to start what are options are.

Thanks for any type of advice!

Why don't apply he for express entry if he is able to gather required points that will be the quickest way to get PR ...

Sounds like he might be quite young and hasn't finished school or worked in a professional/skilled capacity.
yeah if that is the case then ..Study > PEQ and/or CSQ are other options available but all of them will take some time...

That's pretty much the case. He only has a high school education. And career wise he has had one job for over a year now, but I don't think that would qualify him as a skilled worker at all.

Your family cannot sponsor him. Yes - you have to be married or common law in order for you to sponsor him. If you're not willing to get married and want to go for common law instead, he can come here as a visitor and then extend his stay to live with you here for a full year. As a visitor, he obviously won't be able to work, go to school and won't benefit from things like the Canadian health care system.

If he wants to come here on a study permit, it will be expensive and he'll need to demonstrate a bank balance of $25K just to be approved. He would need to be accepted by a school first and then apply for a study permit. He's too late for the September term. The earliest he'd be able to start his studies is January.
